Blog Post no.10- Last blog entry.

This semester was better than last year because I learnt a lot on the writing class. Firstly, I always hate to write paragraphs because I did not understand the structure of it, but with Miss Neha, everything was easier to understand. Secondly, the post that I think was the best is the one about "Global environmental issues" I wrote about "Traffic pollution" and I really put a lot of energy on that, and Miss Neha help me a lot on that so I felt more confident; However, I also have a post that I did not like, it was "Health in Chile". I did not like it because it was a difficult topic to talk about and is a really deep one. Thirdly, the good thing is that writing blogs helps me to improve my writing skills and it is a funny thing to do. A good memory that I have about the writing class is when Miss Neha got mad about our concluding sentence because none of us had one on our paragraphs, or they were too bad. Now, I know that whenever I write a paragraph, it must be indented, also that a good paragraph have a topic sentence, supporting sentences, and a concluding sentence, all this new things  Miss Neha taught me. For the future, I would like to do another funny activity as writing a post, and to write about global issues as Animal welfare. In conclusion, I have improved a lot since last year because  of the things that Miss Neha on her class taught me.

Blog Post No. 9 Skills to be a good teacher.

A teacher good must have three important skills to be successful in his job, he should be a leader and empathize with his students, and also the ability to research.

The good teacher should be empathic. Firstly, Empathy is when you can put yourself in other people's position. Secondly, The tutor must know the capacities and abilities of every student so he will be aware of what the student can do. Thirdly, this will help him to be able to be in his student's situation because he knows what a student is able to do. Finally, a great tutor should know how to put himself in anybody's place.

The skill that must be present in each teacher is the ability of leadership. Beyond the power to tame a noisy herd, restless and doubtful students,  the leader have to be able to establish in the classroom an area of high focus and concentration to achieve the objectives in the most optimum way according to its planning. The teacher is the highest authority in the classroom, therefore, he must be respected by his students. The tutor has to be the head of the classroom.

Another skill of a teacher is the ability to research. First, the teacher must have the capacity to encourage the student to understand that knowledge is not restricted. Second,  the classroom  does not delimit a subject or a content in general. Third, he must tell his student that there is a word outside and it has no limits so they must go ahead and discover all the wonders of the world. The capacity of inquiry is the one that an amazing teacher have.

For these reasons, an exceptional instructor needs to have this three clout to prevail at his work.

Blog No 7/8 - School v/s University life.

The university is very different to the high school because the university is more demanding and high school is more "relax".

University requires more time of concentration than the high school. Firstly, if you are in the university you would have to put a lot of your time to study because you are learning something that is going to be with you for the rest of your life that is the reason why you are there. Secondly, in high school you study because you want to have a good mark, it is just to survive it is opposite to the university because in there every single decimal is worth. Thirdly, when you are in high school you only have one classroom for every class, in the university you are the one that has to move to a classroom and you should be there on time because the teacher can leave you out. For these reasons, the university is more demanding than high school because you must put all of your time on it to be a good student.

During high school, you have a lot of friends that you know from before, but in the university you need to be open minded to meet new friends every day. The university, as a campus that groups many programs, have diversities of people that you must know, maybe not all of them, but most of them, while in school you always see the same people for years and you are quite used to them. Another thing is that, as a university student, you must behave responsibly to any problem that comes, it means that if you have a bad experience with a university friend you should act upon that situation as an adult.  On the one hand when you are in high school you passed through a lot of changes because you are a child and then you become to an adolescent, you have to face a lot of physical and emotional changes, on the other hand, as a university student you develop those changes in terms of ideologies and social aspect that you acquires day by day, so you develop your personality. To sum up, to be a university student you need to be very social and tolerant with other people.

When you are in high school you do not need to be worried about everything; However in the university you must be concerned about many aspects of your life. You also must be responsible the reason why  is because you are on the last step for you to become an independent adult, so you must be bloom to take decisions. Next, in high school you have no preoccupations because you have your parents to help you. Another thing is that many students have to move to another city to go to the university and they have to live by their own as responsible people, this may be difficult if you live with your parents and they give you everything. Last, if you live alone you must learn how to cook, and do a lot of things that your parents usually did for you. Finally, the university life comes with a lot of preoccupations for you than high school because you are conscious of what the real life is.

To conclude, university and high school has a lot of distinctions because the first one is more difficult than the second one.
